About Us
We’re a group of logistics folks, who love building software. Not the other way around.

In 1990, David Whitt, our founder, was laid off shortly after being relocated to South Florida. He started selling mobile computers and barcode scanners independently and WDS was born. He quickly realized that software was what made the hardware effective and developed his own warehouse management system.

Since the beginning we have always had a customer focused approach.

We listen. We learn. We adapt.

That was how we got into other niche industries like Elections, Cable Installers, and Cruise Lines.

Recently, our approach has changed... slightly. We invested in creating a base system for general warehouse and elections. These base systems have our years of knowledge and modifications baked into them. They are designed to satisfy 80-100% of most operations needs. Then we can customize them as needed. This drives our costs down significantly.

HOW WE WORK

Our Approach

Learn and Listen
Before we even show you the software, we try to learn about your operation. That approach carries through as your account manager helps you set up your system and supports your operation.
Private Instance
When you sign up, you get your own dedicated instance of the application, your own URL, and your own database.

No sharing.
Walk Before You Run
We coach customers to start with the base system. Get to know it. Learn what does and doesn't fit your operation. Then we can make customizations.
Support
You get a dedicated account manager. Meaning you will have one main point of contact. They will learn your operation and be able to support you the best.

We also do regular status calls to answer questions, update you about changes, and learn more about you.
Constant Improvement
We are constantly improving our base systems:
- Updating screens
- Adding modules
- Optimizing processes.

These come at no charge.
Customizations
Other vendors often shy away from customizations or make it so expensive that nobody does it.

We embrace customization. Our systems are built to do it quickly and affordably.

If we feel like we can resell it, we will also discount it or do it for free.

A better system and partnership is just one click away.

Handheld Module

Less complexity, fewer mistakes

Simple Navigation

  • Menus are simple and customizable. Unused functions can be hidden for each role/user.
  • Barcode scanning is our preferred method of input. But, when it's not possible, we try provide buttons to reduce errors.
  • Additional information is provided in a simple and digestible way.

Validation

  • Every input is validated. Every. Single. One.
  • An error message is provided and a loud sound is played. The user must acknowledge the error before continuing. The sound and acknowledgement are critical in a loud, hectic warehouse environment.
  • Error messages are helpful and informational.
